We travel to Alton, TX (near McAllen). It's about a 6 hour drive from Humble.
WHO CAN GO? Anyone! This mission effort is designed for families and individuals (young and old) to serve together. There will be opportunities for all ages to serve!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
LHCOC provides the cost of transportation, housing and building materials. Each person will be asked to contribute $50 for food.
WHEN DO WE GO? The trip is scheduled for the third week in July. Check our calendar each year for the exact dates.
WHERE DO WE STAY? We stay in a bunk house in Alton, built by the church specifically for this work. There is a male and female side with bunk beds and showers (and yes, there is A/C), accommodating approximately 50 people.
WHAT DO WE DO THERE? We'll be working on building projects in the morning (i.e. hammering, painting, repairing, etc.) and conducting VBS in the afternoon for the local kids.
